CASABLANCA, Morocco (BG) – Morocco has launched a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiative to help 1,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) improve their competitiveness.

The program aims to help 1,000 SMEs in Morocco adopt AI by providing exclusive learning licenses on LinkedIn, the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) announced Monday.

CGEM launched the initiative, “Génération AI: Booster 1,000 PME Marocaines,” in partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and LinkedIn.

Through this initiative, CGEM and its partners aim to equip Moroccan entrepreneurs with key AI skills to boost competitiveness and productivity.

According to the statement, entrepreneurs will also have access to several training modules, including innovation, sustainable development and digital strategy.

They will receive non-transferable licenses valid until September 2025. Companies must apply and complete at least two training modules.

The Moroccan Association of Women Entrepreneurs (AFEM) and Technopark are also supporting the initiative to expand its reach within Morocco’s entrepreneurial community.

As AI transforms industries worldwide, African countries are working to ensure they are not left behind.
