The tournament, which kicked off Dec. 21, 2025, and is scheduled to conclude Jan. 18, 2026, has earned widespread praise from officials, teams and fans alike.
During a sports program on SportItalia, hosts and guests voiced their surprise at the high level of readiness of the stadiums and the surrounding facilities.
They emphasized that Morocco has impressed everyone with its professional approach to organization.
One commentator said the stereotypical image often associated with the “Third World” does not reflect reality.
He added that what he witnessed in Morocco, including modern roads, well-organized parking areas, and stadiums built to international standards, is something to be proud of.
The speakers highlighted the quality of the infrastructure around the stadiums, such as wide roads, smart traffic roundabouts, and efficient crowd and traffic management.
They noted that entering and exiting the stadiums is smooth and hassle-free, especially when compared with historic Italian venues such as San Siro and the Olimpico, where fans often endure hours of congestion and overcrowding.
Live footage was also shown of teams arriving, fans in the stands, and the security and logistical arrangements.
The journalists described the scene as a real showcase of Morocco’s ability to host major sporting events.
They praised the modern facilities surrounding the stadiums, including indoor arenas, green spaces, palm trees, and landscaped areas that reflect an integrated urban vision.
In the same context, one participant pointed out that these stadiums and infrastructures will also be part of the 2030 World Cup, which Morocco will co-host with Spain and Portugal.
He said Morocco acted wisely by using the Africa Cup as a full-scale rehearsal ahead of the global tournament.
