Kenya Airways and Qatar Airways have expanded their strategic partnership with a new codeshare agreement launching on October 26, 2025.
The agreement will connect 19 destinations through the airlines’ Nairobi and Doha hubs, strengthening travel links across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
Under the arrangement, Kenya Airways passengers will gain access to 11 Qatar Airways routes to major international cities.
In return, Qatar Airways customers will be able to reach eight African destinations, including Entebbe, Harare, and Lusaka.
Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer Thierry Antinori said the latest development reflects the progress made since the partnership began.
He added that the airline’s recent addition of a third daily flight to Nairobi underscores rising passenger demand and deepening ties with Kenya.
Kenya Airways Chief Commercial and Customer Officer Julius Thairu welcomed the move, describing it as a major step forward for regional and intercontinental connectivity.
He said the expanded codeshare would open up new travel opportunities for customers while improving convenience and flight options.
Executives from both carriers emphasized the potential for improved customer experience, stronger regional integration, and support for Kenya Airways’ broader recovery strategy, including initiatives such as Project Kifaru.
