LOMÉ, Togo, 20 janvier 2025 (BG) – Lors d’une rencontre officielle à Kigali, le président rwandais Paul Kagame a souligné l’importance de concrétiser rapidement les accords conclus avec son homologue togolais Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé.

Le président togolais a été accueilli samedi par son homologue rwandais à Urugwiro Village, dans le cadre d’une visite officielle de deux jours.

Après une réunion à huis clos, les deux dirigeants ont rejoint leurs délégations respectives pour des discussions axées sur la coopération dans l’agriculture, le commerce, l’énergie et le financement vert.

« Après nos échanges et les accords conclus, il est essentiel de passer rapidement à l’action », a déclaré Paul Kagame, soulignant l’importance de résultats concrets pour consolider le partenariat entre les deux pays.

Cette visite marque le retour du président togolais au Rwanda, après sa participation à l’investiture de Paul Kagame en août 2024.

Le président togolais a salué « les excellentes relations entre le Rwanda et le Togo » et a exprimé son optimisme quant au développement d’un partenariat bilatéral.

Cette dynamique entre un pays d’Afrique de l’Est et un autre d’Afrique de l’Ouest illustre la volonté commune de favoriser l’intégration africaine, essentielle pour répondre aux défis climatiques, économiques et sociaux qui touchent le continent.
