Dangote Industries Limited has been named Africa’s Most Admired African Brand for the eighth consecutive year, further cementing its position as one of the continent’s leading corporate brands.

The recognition was announced as part of the 16th annual Brand Africa 100: Africa’s Best Brands rankings, unveiled during Brand Africa Week in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on May 23, with the official global rankings released June 1.

The consumer-led survey, which covered 30 countries representing more than 85% of Africa’s population and economic output, ranked Dangote as the continent’s most admired brand in aided recall. Dangote ranked ahead of South Africa’s MTN and Vodacom in the category.

The company also retained its position as Africa’s Most Admired Industrial Brand and emerged as the No. 1 African brand contributing to a better Africa.

The rankings reflect Dangote’s growing influence across key sectors, including cement, fertilizer, petrochemicals, energy, sugar, salt, packaging and logistics.

The group’s investments have been credited with supporting industrialization, job creation and economic development across Africa.

In a statement, Dangote said the recognition represents more than brand visibility, describing it as a reflection of “long-term investment” and the impact of industrial development across the continent.

The company noted that it remains focused on “building the industries” and capacity needed to drive Africa’s economic growth and “future prosperity.”

The group also emphasized its belief that “African institutions” can operate at a scale capable of helping to “transform economies” and create “lasting impact” for millions of people.

It thanked customers, employees, partners and stakeholders across the continent for their continued support.

Further strengthening the company’s standing, Dangote Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer Anthony Chiejina was named among Africa’s 100 Most Influential Chief Marketing Officers under the inaugural Africa CMO 100 initiative.

The recognition honors marketing and communications leaders shaping brand reputation and business growth across the continent.

The latest accolade adds to a growing list of honors for Dangote Industries, which was inducted into the Brand Africa Hall of Fame in 2025 for its consistent performance among Africa’s most admired brands.
